Nutanix International Tax Manager in San Jose, California

The Opportunity

The Tax Team at Nutanix is a geographically dispersed team consisting of around 10 members located in the United States, India, and the Netherlands. Your Role

  • Prepare and/or review E&P calculations, Subpart F, GILTI, FDII, BEAT, Foreign Tax Credit and 861 expense allocation and apportionment for tax compliance and provision.

  • Prepare and/or review international tax compliance for US federal income tax return including Forms 926, 1118, 5471, 5472, 8858, 8990, 8991, 8992, 8993 and other associated tax return disclosures prepared by external firm.

  • Prepare and/or review quarterly and annual worldwide (US + local foreign) corporate income tax provision in accordance with ASC 740, including analyzing the effective tax rate and tax reserves, evaluating tax accounts, and ensuring accurate SEC disclosures.

  • Ensure compliance with SOX 404 requirements by maintaining and assisting with documentation of worldwide income tax provisions.

  • Manage and optimize the use of OneSource Tax Provision tool for efficient tax provision calculations.

  • Support the implementation and modeling of the US tax aspects of Pillar II

  • Various ad hoc tax projects as needed, including research complex tax issues and automation initiatives/process improvements projects.

What You Will Bring

  • 5-9+ years of income tax experience

  • Strong knowledge of US international tax and ASC 740 accounting

  • Minimum of 4+ years of hands-on experience in US international tax and ASC 740 income tax provisions

  • Strong analytical skills

  • Detail-oriented

  • Ability to multitask and work independently

  • Collaborative and team-oriented personality

  • BA/BS Degree in Accounting, Tax and/or Finance

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between USD $ 117,040 and USD $ 234,120 per year.

However, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.

If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
