We're looking for a Control Systems Lead in Santa Clara, California to join our team who is excited about working on projects that enable the heart of our clients’ business. Join us and you’ll have the chance to work on projects including state of the art industrial and commercial facilities. You’ll be leading the technical quality and functionality of challenging facility engineering support tasks, such as trouble shooting and field services. You’ll provide on-site assistance during startup and testing activities, coordinate with other staff members and take direction from the group manager. Your primary focus will be first level support for facility service work requests which may include at a minimum, installations, configuration and troubleshooting for critical facility systems. The role has opportunity in growth to apply knowledge in subject matter expertise within our team and the client facility. Additional tasks may include mentoring junior staff, PLC programming, IT development, and partnering with additional vendors. The team is multi-discipline and highly interactive producing facility core and shell solutions for one of the leading semi-conductor tool manufacturers in the world.   • Minimum of Associate of Applied Science Degree from an accredited program in the field of Electronics, Electrical, Instrumentation, Information Technology or related.

  • At Least 8 years of Industrial System Integration Experience.

  • Ability to provide level of effort input for developing proposals from statement of work requests.

  • Ability to communicate schedule, scope and technical issues to the management team.

  • Ability to write and track work plans and identify scope changes.

  • Ability to interface with Owner representatives and electrical contractors.

  • Proven leadership and organization skills.

  • Knowledge of test equipment, multi-meter, digital analyzer, and commissioning devices.

  • Understand analog, digital, and relay field wiring and troubleshooting.

  • Understanding of diagrams and schematics as related to controls systems, networking, electrical and mechanical.

  • Proficient in using Microsoft Suite including MS Word, Access, Outlook and Excel.

Ideally, you’ll also have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field

  • Experience with any or all Cimplicity, Rockwell, Ignition automation packages.

  • Knowledge of TCP/IP networking, including cable termination and IP addressing.

  • Understanding of industrial automation protocols, (Modbus RTU/TCP, etc.)

  • User level experience with AutoCAD computer drafting software.

  • This is an on-site position requiring work to be performed on the client site in Santa Clara/Sunnyvale, CA.

  • Candidate must be willing to commute to the site Monday-Friday during normal business hours - nominally 8:00 am to 5:00 pm with some flexibility based on ability of site to support and employee preference.

  • Relocation assistance may be provided for qualified candidate.

  • Physical Requirements:

  • Position requires field visits and walks at an active client site in various stages of construction. Applicant must be able to walk long distances, sit and stand for extended periods, bend, stoop, twist, crawl, climb ladders, work on catwalks, work in small spaces, lift and carry up to 25lbs.

  • Applicant must complete background check, drug screen and be fully authorized to work for any client in the United States. Jacobs will not sponsor or continue a Visa for this position.
