Micron is seeking an experienced, business-facing attorney to join its rapidly growing, extraordinary Legal Department. The attorney will be a trusted partner to Micron’s Business Unit and Sales teams and will be responsible for directly engaging with senior Micron business leaders to handle a wide range of complex domestic and international customer engagements and high value commercial transactions. The attorney will assist in the development of strategies that achieve customer engagement, product development, marketing, and sales goals while mitigating risk. Responsibilities:
Provide practical legal advice and solutions to support business teams in achieving strategic and commercial goals and improving customer relationships.
Review, negotiate and draft a variety of commercial agreements, waivers, disclaimers, quality requirements, marketing materials and other documents supporting the sales, marketing, and qualification of Micron’s products
Assist business teams with planning and development of new product initiatives and growing opportunities in existing and future market segments
Provide legal support relating to industry standards for networking, AI, cyber security and other applications
Perform a vital cross-functional role with other legal teams and organizations, including supply chain, engineering, quality, and security, in connection with a variety of operational, commercial, compliance, and risk-related matters
Provide proactive legal assistance to address safety issues related to technology applications
Qualifications :
The ideal candidate has:
Proven track record in drafting and negotiating complex commercial agreements along with an excellent working knowledge of commercial law across geographies
Experience advising on and drafting customer sales agreements, warranty, and settlement agreements.
Experience defining and reviewing quality requirements, agreements, and claims
A commanding executive presence in interactions with senior leadership
Proven ability to collaborate and establish links, gain credibility, and partner effectively with internal clients and legal colleagues.
Strong ability to identify business opportunities, a strategic approach, and a dedication to ethics and integrity
In-house legal experience
Top-tier law firm and corporate experience in the semiconductor or related industries is preferred
7-9+ years of relevant experience
Education, Admission, and Geographic Requirements:
JD from an ABA accredited law school and a current member of the bar in good standing
Located within a reasonable distance from a Micron office, particularly San Jose, Irvine, or Boise, or willing to relocate
The US base salary range that Micron Technology estimates it could pay for this full-time position is:
$163,500.00 - $285,500.00
Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries of the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional job-related factors, including knowledge, skills, experience, tenure and relevant education or training.
