DoorDash Web Platform Engineer in San Francisco, California
Come help us build the world's most reliable on-demand, logistics engine for delivery! We're bringing on experienced engineers to help us create and maintain a 24x7, no downtime, global infrastructure system that powers DoorDash’s three-sided marketplace of consumers, merchants, and dashers.

About the Team
The mission of Developer Platform is to scale and empower DoorDash engineers by creating delightful and productive developer experiences - empowering them to do their work quickly and confidently. Developer Platform will solve DoorDash’s top engineering challenges across two pillars: Productivity and Platforms. With the toolset and infrastructure Developer Platform puts in place, every engineer should feel empowered rather frustrated. They should feel safe to build and deploy rapidly, without sacrificing our number one feature: reliability. When we’ve done our job right our engineers are able to focus on delighting customers and elevating our platform.
Our web engineers particularly need our help. As a member of the Web Infrastructure team, you will be focused on modernizing our tech stack, standardizing frameworks, and providing novel ways to scale both the performance of our apps and the productivity of our engineers. DoorDash offers a flexible work arrangement. Candidates must be located near one of our Engineering hubs: San Francisco, Sunnyvale, Los Angeles, Seattle, & New York.
About the Role
Your responsibilities include:
Leading high-impact tech initiatives that shape how we deliver the web experience at DoorDash.
Leveraging cutting edge technologies like Next.js, Fastify, and Rush.js.
Driving efficiency between Web and Mobile, whether it be network, common components, or learnings.
Inspiring your team and others with technical vision and customer obsession.
Keeping connected to the web community both inside and outside of DoorDash.

You have at least 5+ year(s) of experience in web engineering (excluding internships).

Compensation
The successful candidate's starting pay will fall within the pay range listed below and is determined based on job-related factors including, but not limited to, skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. Base salary is localized according to an employee’s work location. Ranges are market-dependent and may be modified in the future.
In addition to base salary, the compensation for this role includes opportunities for equity grants. Talk to your recruiter for more information.

The base pay for this position ranges from our lowest geographical market up to our highest geographical market within the United States.
