We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a PART-TIME (30 hours/week - may increase in the future) Surgery Scheduler in the Healthcare industry, located in San Francisco, California. Our workplace is fast-paced, and your role will involve interacting with various healthcare professionals but not directly with patients.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately scheduling surgeries, primarily for orthopedic cases.

• Utilizing CRM software for case management.

• Verifying and confirming patient information as part of the data entry process.

• Liaise with schedulers at doctors' offices mainly via email and occasionally over the phone.

• Confirming acceptance of patient insurance without the need for pre-authorizations.

• Ensuring all orders are clarified before approving cases.

• Managing billing functions, including procedure codes and confirming equipment needed for surgery.

• Maintain effective email communications.

• Ensuring accurate records are kept, including charts and graphs related to surgery scheduling.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years experience in surgery scheduling

• Proven experience in surgery scheduling, demonstrating excellent organizational and coordination skills

• Strong attention-to-detail

• Experience with authorizations, specifically in the context of healthcare, to ensure all medical procedures are approved and compliant

• Familiarity with billing functions to help manage patient accounts and transactions

• Knowledge of medical coding to ensure accurate record keeping and billing

• Experience in handling inbound and outbound calls, showcasing excellent communication and customer service skills

• Proficiency in email communications, demonstrating clear and detail oriented written communication skills
