FocusKPI Inc. Software Engineer (Backend-Python) in San Francisco, California
FocusKPI is looking for a Software Engineer II/Software Engineer (Backend-Python) to join one of our clients, a high-tech, SaaS company.
Work Location: Remote - anywhere in the US
Duration: 4 months contract with possibility of extension or conversion depending on budget management & your performance in future
Pay Range: $50/hr to $59/hr
Responsibilities:
Designing and building scalable software for the client's commerce platform, ensuring seamless customer experiences and meeting revenue goals.
Collaborating closely with product managers and analysts to understand user needs and develop products that meet those needs, with a focus on revenue generation and customer satisfaction.
Developing and executing short and long-term roadmaps, balancing business impact, user experience, and technical quality for the Revenue Platform.
Actively contributing to the team and company culture through participation in code reviews, and involvement in new initiatives.
Supporting fellow engineers through feedback, code reviews, and improvement of internal tools and processes.
Ensure continuous service operation by participating in the team's on-call rotation, including outside core collaboration hours on a periodic basis.
Qualifications:
2+ years of experience in software engineering or related industry roles, with a focus on backend development and system design.
BS degree in Computer Science or related technical field involving coding (e.g., physics or mathematics), or equivalent technical experience.
Mostly backend with Python language expert
Contributions to open source projects or technical communities, particularly in the areas of Python, web development, and system design.
Strong understanding of web development principles, including MVC architecture, RESTful APIs, and JSON data formats.
Experience with MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB, and familiar with data modeling and query optimization techniques.
Demonstrated success in developing and deploying large-scale web applications with a user-focused approach, with experience in technologies such as Python, MySQL, and web servers.
Proficiency in building scalable backend systems, including experience with web APIs, data pipelines, and cron jobs.
Required to participate with the call rotation (Collaboration hours are 10:00 am - 3:00 pm based on candidate’s time zone and 6 weeks basis)
