Responsibilities:

  • Manage the full-cycle accounting for a portfolio of properties, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger entries, and month-end close.

  • Prepare and review monthly financial statements such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.

  • Reconcile bank accounts, tenant ledgers, and other key accounts.

  • Perform variance analysis and provide explanations for financial performance discrepancies.

  • Ensure adherence to local, state, and federal regulations.

  • Support budget preparation, forecasting, and annual audit processes.

  • Partner with property managers and senior leadership to deliver financial insights and reporting.

  • Oversee CAM reconciliations, lease abstracts, and property tax filings.

    Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

  • 3+ years of accounting experience in real estate.

  • Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., MRI, Yardi) is a plus.

  • Proven track record in managing month-end close processes.

  • Highly motivated self-starter with strong initiative.

  • Solid understanding of GAAP and real estate financial reporting.

  • Exceptional attention to detail, with strong problem-solving and communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.
