Accounting & Reporting Manager

Currently working with a mid-size public financial services company that is looking for someone to support their regulatory reporting and accounting activities within a global division of the company. Position would work with two experienced senior leaders handling the overall accounting and reporting functions and be a key support for the audit. Would work with global accounting functions and support the consolidation of financials in various currencies, etc. Qualified candidates will have a BS in Accounting or CPA, as well as 5+ years of either public accounting and / or industry experience as well as financial services industry experiences.

Accounting & Reporting Manager

Location: San Francisco, CA 2x a week hybrid

Salary: 140-160K

The position reports to the Senior Director and is responsible for the preparation of month end close reports and regulatory filings, ensuring compliance with the requirements of SEC and GAAP Rules

  • Assist in ensuring the integrity of financial data and compliance with GAAP and in maintaining proper internal controls over regulatory and financial reporting

  • Participate in the month end financial close process including preparing month end balance sheet reconciliations and income statement analysis

  • Prepare the Customer Reserve computation in compliance with various regulatory and SEC filings.

  • Prepare filings for other domestic and international regulators

  • Support the annual audit and quarterly review with internal and external auditors, SEC and FINRA exams and inquiries from other regulatory agencies

  • Recommend and assist in implementing process improvements to continually improve departmental productivity

qualifications:

Qualified candidates:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance

  • Minimum of 5 to 7+ years accounting or public accounting experiences

  • Working knowledge of SEC, US GAAP, PCAOB and AICPA standards ?

*Ability to work and excel in an innovative, fast-paced environment

  • Collaborative team-player, with the ability to develop relationships with key stakeholders across the organization

  • Excellent analytical and oral/written communication skills

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
