Summary The Management and Program Assistant (OA) (Data Analyst) is responsible for supporting the Homeless Program and the HUD-VASH Program by gathering, interpreting, analyzing and correlating and correlates large amounts of narrative and statistical information about program status, functions, workload and productivity. Responsibilities This is an OPEN CONTINUOUS ANNOUNCEMENT and may be posted up to September 29,2024. The initial cut-off date for referral of eligible applications will be February 9, 2024, with subsequent cut-off dates on the 1st and 15th of each month. Eligible applications received after that date will be referred at regular intervals or as additional vacancies occur on an as-needed basis until positions are filled. The Management and Program Assistant (OA) (Data Analyst) reports to the Supervisor Administrative Officer (AO) while working closely with Program Supervisors and social work staff, coordinates and prepares statistical reports such as tracking of Northeast Program Evaluation Center (NEPEC) and Homeless Operations & Management Evaluation System (HOMES) reporting and procedures, understands regulatory agencies requirements and Homeless program control points, etc. Develops the need for and maintains an awareness of available resources and makes recommendations to the Social Work Service Chief and Associate Chief, Homeless Program Supervisors, HUDVASH Program Supervisors and other program supervisors regarding statistical needs, distribution or redistribution of these tracking resources. Major Duties include, but are not limited: Develop, evaluate, and modify structure and systems to achieve program goals Compiles and maintains reports for the Homeless Program and HUD-VASH Program. Tracking of medical, mental health and substance abuse care access and follow up. Develop methods to collect data and will be assured that data is reported in a timely fashion. Responsible for the development of queries and reports which will be provided to internal clients ensuring timeliness, accuracy and integrity of data. Apply technical skills to analyze datasets in a variety of formats (Powerpoint, Access, Excel, etc) Coordinates with Homeless/HUDVASH Program Supervisors to identify data needs and design data models and tools as necessary. Provide data analysis support to specific projects assigned by the immediate Supervisory AO and SWS Leadership. Provide routine administrative program support assistance when required, such as sponsoring PIV queries in USAccess, maintain VATAS timekeeping, taking Minutes, ordering office supplies and/or GFE, etc. *Preferred Experience*** preferred experience: Creating and updating data and queries using data applications such as Excel, Access and other data driven software applications; strong knowledge of administrative functions using Microsoft Outlook and its components. Time-In-Grade Requirement: Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement. For a GS-07 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-06. The grade may have been in any occupation, but must have been held in the Federal service. An SF-50 that shows your time-in-grade eligibility Must be submitted with your application materials. You may qualify based on your experience and/or education as described below: Specialized Experience: You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade GS-06 in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Examples of specialized experience would typically include, but are not limited to: Administrative support in a office setting; Data Management; Utilizing various PC application (i.e., databases, spreadsheets, and word processing); Interpersonal skills to resolve conflicts and manage day-to-day activities.
