Description

Robert Half is seeking an experienced Database & Power BI Developer with a strong background in financial services, specifically banking or credit unions. This role will be responsible for ETL development, SQL analytics, business intelligence (BI), and data visualization using Power BI. The ideal candidate will have expertise in data modeling, report and dashboard development, and data integration, delivering high-quality insights to support strategic business decisions.

• Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports to visualize key financial metrics.

• Develop and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and ETL processes for data extraction, transformation, and loading.

• Work with relational databases such as SQL Server, Oracle, or PostgreSQL to support reporting and analytics.

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver actionable insights.

• Implement data modeling and DAX calculations in Power BI to enhance reporting accuracy.

• Ensure data quality, integrity, and security within the financial domain.

• Automate report generation and data pipelines to improve efficiency.

• Support compliance and regulatory reporting requirements specific to banking and credit unions.

  Requirements

5+ years of experience in Database Development, SQL Analytics, and Business Intelligence.

Strong expertise in Power BI, including DAX, Power Query, and advanced visualizations.

Proficiency in writing complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and database optimization.

Experience working with ETL tools (SSIS, Informatica, Talend, or similar).

Background in financial services, banking, or credit unions is a must.

Experience integrating data from multiple sources (structured & unstructured).
