NBC Universal Media Campaign Specialist - NBCU Local, Bay Area in San Francisco, California

The Media Campaign Specialist is responsible for coordinating and tracking major sponsorships and multi-platform campaigns, effectively optimizing, and ensuring campaigns meet and exceed performance goals across the NBCUniversal portfolio. This role will collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement front-end campaign requirements, manage in-campaign performance, implement optimizations to meet and exceed client objectives and KPIs.  The Media Campaign Specialist provides subject matter expertise when operating campaigns and translates resulting performance/insights for in-campaign optimizations and post campaign reports.  The ideal candidate should have strong analytical skills, be highly organized, and thrive when problem solving.

SNAPSHOT OF RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Liaise between sales managers/account executives/clients and our NBCU Local linear/social/digital teams to relay client objectives, flight, budget and impression goals to propose best execution

  • Oversee the success of sponsorships by monitoring audience metrics of sponsored social/digital/podcasts executions, content integrations and enhancements, and other promotional elements.

  • Translate the data to custom trackers that provide crucial information for the content team, sales managers, and account executives regarding deliverable and impression goals.

  • When impressions are not pacing, will partner with account executives and the content team to identify optimization opportunities and implement enhancements

  • Serve as the point of contact to communicate performance metrics to internal and external clients upon request

  • Download proof of performance video clips of sponsored integrations and other sponsored content to share with clients and include in recap presentations

  • Create comprehensive presentation recaps for clients to illustrate deliverables as well as new business decks for account executives to showcase our marketing capabilities on NBC Sports Bay Area/CA, NBC Bay Area, Telemundo 48, NBC Spot On/Peacock and more

  • Problem-solve when sponsored integrations or other sponsored content don’t run as ordered

  • Provide administrative support by delegating ticket orders for employees and clients, managing catering orders for clients/account executives, and submitting SNAP invoices and expense reports

  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university; major in Business Administration, Sales or Marketing is preferred

  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite products, especially PowerPoint, SharePoint, Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams

  • Ability to master various software programs, as job utilizes MediaProxy, Digital Nirvana, Art19, APT, SNAP, Asana, Veritone, and several internal proprietary programs

  • Must be willing to work occasional non-traditional business hours

Desired Characteristics

  • Prior experience in media sales, broadcast industry or sales internship experience preferred.

  • Highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to work under pressure, set priorities, handle multiple projects and meet tight deadlines

  • Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and leadership qualities with the ability to handle multiple tasks and set priorities

  • Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills with an aptitude towards sales.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication to effectively relay information regarding promotional programs to internal departments and external partners.

  • Strong knowledge of Bay Area sports teams and trending media entertainment content is a plus

Salary range: $55,000-70,000.
