One of the key focus industries for AWS is Manufacturing, and we are looking for experienced manufacturing technologists to help us proactively build AWS capabilities to support our manufacturing customers.

AWS is looking for an experienced and motivated Solutions Architect who possess a unique balance of technical depth, industry experience and strong interpersonal skills. You will partner with some of the world's largest Manufacturing companies, to craft highly scalable, flexible and resilient cloud architectures that address customer business problems and accelerate the adoption of AWS services. In collaboration with business development, solutions, and account teams you will assist in driving growth across customers for strategic workloads. As a trusted customer advocate, industry solutions architect will help organizations understand best practices around line of business (LoB) cloud-based solutions, and how to leverage cloud to deliver business outcomes. You will have the opportunity to help shape and execute a strategy to build mind share and broad use of AWS within manufacturing customers. The ability to connect technology with measurable business value is critical to a solutions architect. You should also have a demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, products, and technical challenges.

Have a strong understanding of large scale computing solutions. The ideal candidate will have past experience working as an architect in the manufacturing industry with line of business applications or solutions. You will enjoy keeping your existing technical skills honed and developing new ones, so you can make strong contributions to deep architecture discussions. You will regularly lead workshops and design architectures to create world-class solutions built on AWS.

Key job responsibilities

As a Manufacturing Industry Solutions Architect, you will innovate and scale architectural best practices around building and operating Manufacturing strategic workloads by collaborating with customers, developing content and enabling the wider community to adopt the AWS portfolio of services and solutions for Manufacturing customers. In this role, you will have the opportunity to enhance your knowledge around IoT, Machine Learning, Generative AI, Analytics and leverage this expertise to guide customers. As a trusted advisor with technical expertise in the industry, you will share recommendations around security, cost, performance, reliability and operational efficiency to accelerate key projects with our customers. Inside AWS, you are an ambassador of our customers. You will articulate customer needs by synthesizing your observations from customer engagements and market trends around the strategic workloads to inform the roadmap of AWS features and solutions. In this role, your creativity will link technology to tangible solutions, with the opportunity to implement or document cloud-native reference architectures for a variety of use cases. You will possess a technical background that enables you to drive an engagement and interact at the highest levels within our customer teams. You possess the presence and means to easily communicate the benefits of cloud computing to a variety of technical and business audiences. You also demonstrate the ability to think strategically and long-term about the needs of global businesses, financial implications, and are familiar with manufacturing workloads and commercial solutions that support these workloads. Your knowledge of data and how to leverage AI will solve complex Industry challenges. Your understanding of the broad industry ecosystem makes you stand out from your industry peers.

Basic Qualifications

• 5+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience

• 5+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience

• 5+ years of experience in the auto and/or manufacturing industry

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of infrastructure architecture, database architecture and networking experience

• Experience working with end user or developer communities

• Bachelor's degree

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $138,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $239,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
