Job Description

The Manager assists the General Manager in maximizing the café / restaurant's operations and profitability by providing Service Excellence

through the management and development of the café / restaurant team. This position ensures successful execution of all Company standards and supports the

General Manager in achieving sales and profitability targets while ensuring company expectations are met and exceeded.

A Manager supports business leadership teams by overseeing day-to-day operations, implementing strategies, and acting as a liaison between

staff and upper management. Their responsibilities can include:

  • Managing operations: Assisting with the general manager's daily operations, such as scheduling staff and tasks, and monitoring performance

  • Providing training: Ensuring employees are properly trained through team meetings and group training sessions

  • Managing supplies: Ordering products, monitoring supplies, and adhering to the budget

  • Providing evaluations: Delivering performance feedback to employees

  • Fostering morale: Motivating employees and working to foster teamwork

  • Enforcing policies: Ensuring company policies are enforced

  • Facilitating communication: Acting as a communication point between employees and upper management

  • Recruiting: Recruiting and training new employees

  • Managing inventory: Managing inventory

  • Protecting financial assets: Administering company policies and procedures for financial transactions

  • Protecting guest safety: Administering company policies and procedures for protecting the safety of guests

  • Handling guest complaints: Responding to guest complaint letters and comment cards, and personally handling difficult situations
