Job Description
Targeted Annual Pay Range: Minimum of $130,000.00 to a maximum of $145,000.00

POSITION PURPOSE: The Manager, Project Management Office (PMO) will be a leader and a collaborative member of the Project Management team within the Sustainable Buildings business unit.
The Manager, PMO will manage a team of Project Managers (PMs) and report to the Director, Project Management Office. The Manager, PMO will support PMs as they lead internal cross-functional teams inclusive of analysts, technicians, engineers, and data scientists, and help keep project implementation on-time and on-budget. The Manager, PMO will deliver positive results for our internal and external stakeholders, drive application of industry best practices, track team resources and budgeting, provide support, and deliver a high standard of professional service.
The ideal candidate is comfortable leading, managing, and working independently, as necessary. They possess an entrepreneurial spirit, but a collaborative approach to executing and achieving goals. They are eager to learn, eager to coach, demonstrate outstanding communication skills, and model creativity and accountability.
PRIMARY DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES :
Manage a team of Project Managers.
Help develop team resources, tools, and techniques.
Prioritize tasks.
Coordinate with PM team to track project performance.
Maintain, track, and report on project budgets, payment schedules, and progress billing.
Pursue and drive resolutions of issues with internal and external stakeholders in fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Own personal project assignments through project life cycles, as needed.
Act as a point of escalation for project team assignments.
Guide and direct internal stakeholders to deliver high quality results related to energy services.
Manage stakeholder expectations.
Evaluate, monitor, and control risk factors.
Improve internal processes related to customer onboarding, project tracking and budgeting.
Coordinate and work closely with the sales teams to draft and edit proposals and supporting documentation.
Conduct difficult conversations and manage team and stakeholder expectations, as needed.
Lead team to a high professional standard of service.
Qualifications
Education / Experience / Background
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Management or other related fields.
5-10 years of experience in Project Management.
2-3+ years supervisory experience.
Energy experience preferred.
Management experience preferred.
Government and/or commercial real estate project management experience preferred.
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
Strong communication skills to coordinate with clients, team members, vendors and management.
Advanced use of Microsoft Office / Google Suite.
Demonstrated ability to lead teams of direct reports and/or cross-functional teams.
Demonstrated success managing mid to large-level projects, with a strong track record of leadership.
Working knowledge of enterprise tools (Smartsheet, JIRA, MS Project, Excel, PowerPoint).
Working knowledge of Waterfall, Agile, and Hybrid methodologies, Project Management knowledge areas and process groups and their application, and budgetary tracking methods.
Outstanding organizational and time management skills.
Outstanding Change Management skill set.
Required Certification / Licenses / Training
- PMP Certification or equivalent, or equivalent experience.
