Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Cook to prepare, season, and cook a wide variety of foods, some of which require special techniques, for hospital patients, employees and visitors.

Under the direction and supervision of the Lead Cook and Food Services Manager, the Cook orders and prepares foods for meetings, special events and participants as indicated on the menu and is responsible for cleaning their work area.

Responsibilities:

+ + Orders and prepares all food as required and indicated on the menu. Anticipates needs as required to facilitate timely service and quality food preparation to all participants.

• Follows all safety policies and procedures. Demonstrates safe practices by utilizing proper body mechanics, adhering to universal precautions, and maintaining environmental safety.

• Follows all infection control and sanitation policies and procedures, including but not limited to proper food handling, storage and service, and cleaning.

• Assists the Nutrition Services Manager or Lead Cook with menu planning and training.

Qualifications

+ + At least 1yr Experience as an institutional or restaurant cook.
