Top Global Tech Company seeking C# Audio Prototyper

Role:

The Sound Design Organization is a centralized team that touches nearly every product our

company produces, making our team integral to the company. We collaborate with

product and creative teams across the company to design audio for video,

post-production audio, final mixing and mastering, audio field recording, sound

effects, and large scale content projects across a wide range of software and

hardware, including but not limited to your phone, glasses, VR headsets a mix

of AR/MR across these devices. We're a team of over 60 audio experts who design

the experiences that connect people through the power of sound.

We are looking for a Creative Coder to join our team. As a Creative Coder, you must

have a passion for sound and technology, and a demonstrated history of innovative design for

interactive and immersive experiences. You will be an instrumental part in the day-to-day sound

design across audio. Candidates must also have the ability to collaborate closely with

other team members and cross-functional product teams, as well as provide creative feedback.

Strong communication skills and ability to work through ambiguity are required.

This is a full-time position can be based out of Seattle, Fremont, Burlingame, or remote.

Responsibilities

● Implementing custom sound via C# or similar code for various products and

initiatives on a variety of platforms and using different programming languages

● Collaborate closely with team members to create unique sonic experiences and

assist in driving projects to completion

● Gain a deep understanding of product voice in order to maintain quality and leverage

existing content for product consistency and efficiency

● Prepping and testing for implementation accuracy as well as collaborating with

internal and external team members to address bugs and optimize sounds in the

product

● Ability to prioritize, adapt quickly to parameter and scope changes responsibly.

Minimum Qualifications

● 5+ years implementing/coding sonic experiences for products in mobile, hardware,

and non-traditional or immersive environments

● Experienced with technical sound implementation for games, media, and/or

interactive experiences

● Proficiency in the following: Unity, and audio middleware (Wwise, FMOD), C# (and

related programming languages) implementation, development and release of audio

content on mobile and/or VR platforms

● Experience debugging code in a variety of development environments

● Provide a portfolio list or demo reel of shipping projects demonstrating sound

implementation experience

● BA/BS degree or equivalent in game programming, sound programming, CS or

media related field

● Experience with managing collaboration tools and version control systems such as

GitHub, Perforce, etc.

● Strong communication and interpersonal skills

● Time-management and organizational skills to meet delivery specifications and

deadlines

Preferred Qualifications

● Collaborative background , working on a team with producers, designers, animators,

artists and other partners.

● Audio Implementation and/or design for shipping VR experiences (Unity, Unreal)

● An understanding of the properties of spatial audio, and experience implementing

immersive sound experiences

● Knowledge of acoustics, equipment set ups and calibration

● Ability to mix in a variety of formats, including spatial audio

● Post-production skills, including editing and mastering

● Video editing skills (Premier Pro, Final Cut, Avid, etc)

● Experience in Pro Tools and/or other digital audio workstations

● Experience working with and creating SFX/Foley/Dialog/Music

● Experience with C++
