Insight Global Vice President of Quality Assurance in San Diego, California

Job Description

A client in the Mortgage industry is seeking a Vice President of IT Quality Assurance to join their team. This individual will spearhead the strategic direction of the Quality Assurance department in alignment with company goals. This includes the development and maintenance of standards and processes to ensure streamlined and consistent outcomes for the Quality Assurance team. This role will focus on innovation, risk identification, stakeholder engagement, budget management, and ensuring compliance.

Functions

Define and communicate IT Quality Assurance strategic direction to ensure alignment with broader IT business objectives.

Develop standards, process, and frameworks that drive high-quality and consistent outcomes for software quality assurance.

Manage the implementation and assessment of quality assurance technology and automation tools.

Assess trends and opportunities in the software quality space to drive innovation and optimize organizational efficiency.

Closely collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and deliver high-quality solutions. Providing regular reporting and updates on organizational status, challenges, and achievements.

Define and track KPIs and create data-driven roadmaps to provide visibility on progress within the quality assurance group for team-members and stakeholders alike.

Oversee organizational budget, third-party relationships, and vendors.

Skills and Requirements

Bachelor's or higher in computer science, information technology, related field or equivalent experience.

15+ years of experience in IT quality assurance, with a proven track record of implementing successful quality programs.

10+ years of combined experience in software engineering, IT quality assurance, and DevOps.

10+ years of experience in collaboration with overall IT disciplines: software engineering, DevOps/IT Ops, information security, and governance.

10+ years of combined experience in a senior leadership role in managing teams and resources.

5+ years in the financial, banking, or mortgage industry preferred.

Demonstrated leadership experience in managing and developing high-performing quality assurance teams.

Strong technical knowledge of software development life cycles, quality assurance methodologies, and automation tools.

Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with all levels of the organization and external stakeholders, including high-level problem-solving skills, spanning detailed conversation with technical resources.

A strong inclination towards innovation and staying updated with the latest trends and technologies in quality assurance.

Ability to think strategically and integrate quality assurance with broader business objectives.
