Responsibilities You will apply knowledge of electronic theory, circuit design, and the operating characteristics of more familiar equipment to develop, test, or perform other technical work on electronic equipment. You will manage and perform work by applying knowledge of the capabilities, limitations, operations, design, characteristics, and functional use of a variety of types and models of electronic equipment and systems. You will provide technical and programmatic advice, guidance, and recommendations to management and stakeholders on critical issues. You will undertake and complete complex tasks with multiple dependencies independently, mentors others regularly, and leads others to accomplish complex goals. You will provide technical expertise, project management expertise, and government oversight to contractor and government Alteration Installation Teams. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Applying technical and project management skills to manage modernization processes and milestones for installation of new systems and capabilities onboard Naval platforms. Education Additional Information Generally, current Federal employees applying for STRL jobs must serve at least one year at the next lower grade level. All qualifications requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement and stated in your resume. This position is in the Science & Technology Reinvention Laboratory (STRL) Human Resource Management System pay band for Department of Defense laboratories. The pay schedule for all Technician Positions will be NR-1/2/3/4/5. This position is eligible for part time, substantial or ad-hoc telework at the discretion of management. This position may require you to report in person for an established amount of days per pay period. This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program. Several vacancies may be filled. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if the selectee fails to meet the pre-employment requirements, including failure to report to any of the scheduled appointments.
