Description

We are currently seeking an experienced Systems Engineer with robust knowledge of AWS based environments. This position begins as a 6-month contract, with potential for full-time hire.

Responsibilities:

• Designing, configuring, and monitoring systems in an AWS-based environment.

• Managing, configuring, and maintaining the AWS infrastructure.

• Performing system maintenance tasks, such as system back-up, recovery and system metrics monitoring.

• Diagnosing and resolving network troubles, software anomalies, and hardware malfunctions.

• Projecting future network needs and recommending appropriate solutions.

• Designing and implementing system security and data assurance strategies.

• Evaluating, developing and implementing strategies for network design, and server system design.

• Creating system performance reports and documentation for all installations, changes, and upgrades.

• Maintaining an updated technical knowledge base, including maintaining and improving professional knowledge and skills.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field.

• Proven experience as a Systems Engineer in an AWS based environment.

• Working knowledge of cloud services in AWS, including EC2, S3, VPC, etc.

• Advanced understanding of networking protocols and procedures.

• Expertise in network and server security.

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to details.

• Outstanding communication skills and ability to explain complex concepts.

Note: This is a 6-month contract role initially, with potential for permanent employment based on performance.
