Robert Half is partnering with an undisclosed client to find a qualified Staff Accountant. Position Overview:

The Staff Accountant will be responsible for a variety of accounting tasks, including general ledger maintenance, financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a solid understanding of accounting principles and practices.

Key Responsibilities:

General Ledger Maintenance:

• Prepare and post journal entries, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial data.

• Maintain and reconcile balance sheet accounts, ensuring proper reporting.

Financial Reporting:

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.

• Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, analyzing variances and providing insights.

Accounts Payable & Receivable:

• Support the accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including invoice processing, payment management, and cash application.

• Collaborate with other departments to resolve discrepancies and inquiries.

Compliance & Audit Support:

• Ensure compliance with accounting policies and regulatory requirements.

• Assist with internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and support.

Collaboration:

• Work closely with the accounting team to support month-end and year-end closing activities.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline financial processes and improve efficiency.

  Requirements

Qualifications:

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.

Experience:

• 2+ years of experience in accounting or a similar role.

• Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or similar) is preferred.

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including advanced functions, formulas, and data analysis).

• Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial statements, and reporting standards.

Soft Skills:

• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with team members.

Work Environment:

This position will work in a fast-paced office environment, requiring collaboration with various departments to ensure accurate financial operations.
