Spa Desk Agent

SUMMARY

Spa Front Desk agents ensure optimal daily operations of Spa Pendry, the Spa Retail Boutique and the Fitness Center.

Spa Front Desk agents are responsible for upholding the highest luxury service standards for all guests via phone, email and in person interactions. Ensure impeccable cleanliness and condition of the Spa and Fitness facilities, stocking supplies, towels and amenities. Maintain optimal flow and guest experience from start to finish including reservations, check in, tours, facilities, check out, point of sale. Responsible for maintaining best practices of service booking according to treatment provider sort order, efficiency, mandatory breaks and facility maximization.

Spa Front Desk Agents are expected to retain thorough knowledge of all spa service offerings as well as all retail items to seamlessly assist our guests and maximize revenue opportunities in all areas. Spa Front Desk agents are expected to follow the highest standards of exceptional service at all times while acting as an active business partner that is responsible for supporting the company's goals, objectives, vision, mission, and values.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

· Maintain high level of knowledge and proficiency in regard to all retail and spa service offerings including promotions and recommended pairings and enhancements.

· Ensure that the Spa and Fitness facilities meet standards of exceptional cleanliness and create a warm, welcoming environment for our guests to enjoy. Facilities areas are picked up and replenished in a timely manner throughout the day. Towels and Robes are nicely folded, and amenities neatly presented or displayed.

· Ensure that the Spa Retail Boutique is set up/merchandised impeccably and restocked throughout day to create an organized and effortless shopping experience.

· Maintain a helpful and welcoming environment, assisting each guest with knowledgeable and supportive information about the hotel and spa. Inquiries are followed up on with a sense of urgency and staff demeanor reflects genuine care for each guest.

· Answer phone calls in a timely manner and provide a gracious and efficient reservations experience, leaving guests looking forward to their spa day.

· Respond to email inquiries in a timely and accurate manner, using professional verbiage and anticipating the needs of each guest.

· Provide guests checking in with an overview of their scheduled services and a tour of the Spa facilities including available amenities and services to complement their visit.

· Assist fellow associates with daily operations to support healthy teamwork and contribute to the collective success of the spa and hotel.

SUPPORTIVE FUNCTIONS

· Create personalized experiences and wow moments for our guests.

· Assist with inspecting deliveries of retail and operational supplies, notifying the proper leaders.

· Assist with tagging new deliveries of retail items and with scanning retail during monthly inventories.

· Additional duties as necessary and assigned.

SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

· Must be able to speak, read, write and understand English and eloquently communicate with others verbally and in written form.

· Must possess basic math and computational skills and have the ability to accurately handle billing and a cash drawer.

· Must possess moderate computer skills and have the ability to learn multiple computer programs that are utilized on a continual basis throughout the day.

· Must be able to anticipate potential issues and act in advance to avoid them as well as be able to solve problems and make rational decisions to resolve issues where needed.

Physical Demands

· Position requires standing and walking most of the working day; must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to 6 hours at a time. Length of time of these tasks may vary from day to day and task to task.

· Must be able to exert well-paced ability to reach different outlets and other departments of the Hotel on a timely basis.

· Must be able to exert well-paced ability in limited space.

· Must be able to bend, stoop, squat and stretch to fulfill cleaning tasks.

· Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs. on a regular and continuing basis.

· Must be able to push rolling linen carts weighing 300 pounds or more.

· Requires manual dexterity, grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening and hearing ability and visual acuity.

· Talking and hearing occur continuously in the process of communicating with guests and fellow associates.

· Vision occurs continuously with the most common visual functions being those of near vision and depth perception.

· Requires manual dexterity to use and operate all necessary equipment.

· Must have finger dexterity to be able to operate office equipment such as computers, printers, keyboard, mouse, multi-line touch tone phone, filing cabinets, photocopiers, dolly and other office equipment as needed.

QUALIFICATION STANDARDS

Education

High school or equivalent education required. Bachelor’s Degree preferred.

Experience

At least 1 year of spa, retail or reception experience in a luxury environment preferred.

QUALIFICATIONS

· Exceptional guest focused service, critical thinking and recovery skills.

· Positive, supportive attitude and the ability to work on own and as a team.

· Must integrate company values throughout all interactions with guests and associates alike.

· Must be dependable and timely to shifts and meetings. Must be available to work within the hotel on weekends, nights and/or holidays based on business need.

The pay scale* for Spa Desk Agent is $19.00.

*The pay scale is the base salary or hourly wage range, exclusive of incentive pay such as commissions, piece rates, gratuities, and the like, that Montage reasonably expects to pay for the position.
