Description
As an Engineering Manager within our Device Services team, you will set the technical vision and strategic direction for the development of backend tools and services supporting Apple’s software test platforms and infrastructure. You will oversee the design, development, and deployment of scalable, secure, and robust backend systems that integrate seamlessly with developers’ workflows, enabling comprehensive testing of operating systems and application software throughout the software development lifecycle. Minimum Qualifications
5+ years of professional software development experience, including significant experience in technical leadership or management.
Proven track record of leading and mentoring high-performing engineering teams in developing large-scale, secure, distributed backend systems.
Strong background in software architecture, debugging, testing, and system monitoring.
Hands-on experience with CI/CD systems and Unix fundamentals.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a genuine passion for mentoring and team collaboration.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively across diverse technical and non-technical teams.
Key Qualifications

Experience with virtualization, orchestration technologies, networking, and security.
Background in server-side development and systems programming.
Familiarity with modern agile methodologies
Experience managing cross-functional projects and driving technical innovation within large organizations.

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $181,000 and $313,000, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
