As a member of our team you will design, develop, and execute test plans and cases for Proactive Intelligence Features and their underlying technologies (such as Home Screen Widgets, Focus, Apple Intelligence, and the Shortcuts App) across all Apple platforms. You will be responsible for building and maintaining both UI and non-UI automated tests using XCTest/Python and internal frameworks.
Description
As a Software Development Engineer in Test, you will work in a highly multi-functional team that is responsible for shipping Proactive Intelligence features. You will collaborate with software engineers, project managers and other multifunctional teams with the goal of delivering high-quality and reliable software. Additionally, you will be responsible for authoring and running test cases on a regular cadence, debugging failures to isolate product vs. test issues, and reporting feature defects.
Minimum Qualifications
5 or more years of professional experience as a Software Engineer in Test or Software Quality Engineer
Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent
Proficient in one or more object-oriented programming languages: Swift/Obj-C/Java/C++ Proficient in one or more scripting languages: Python/Ruby
Proven problem solving and debugging skills: analyze and investigate test failure, error, and build issues. Able to properly drive issues to completion
Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience including design, implementation, documentation and maintenance of test automation using XCTest with Swift/Obj-C
Prior experience or knowledge of machine learning.
Prior experience with Continuous Integration Technologies

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $135,400 and $250,600, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
