Job Title: Shipper and Receiver

Overview

• Located: Otay Mesa

• Pay: $18/hr.

• Schedule: 2nd shift, 1:00pm - 10:30pm

• Must be willing to train on 1st shift from 11:00am - 7:30pm for 2 weeks or more

Job Description

• We are looking for a dedicated Shipper and Receiver who is comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.

• Will build pallets, operate forklifts, and handle heavy metal parts using the buddy system.

• You must be able to lift 50 pounds repetitively.

• When not handling pallets, you will be responsible for making them from scratch using drawings, hand tools, and power tools.

• You will prepare outgoing orders based on a picking list and load orders onto pallets for customer pickup.

• On the busiest weeks, you will prepare shipments for up to 19 trucks.

• Overtime is expected about twice every two weeks.

Additional Qualifications

• Must have a minimum of 6 months - 1 year of warehouse experience

• Must have forklift experience

• Must be able to build custom pallet using hand/power tools

• Must be mechanically inclined

Work Environment

You will be working for a company that manufactures custom machines for the recycling industry. 99% of your shift will be outside, regardless of weather conditions. If it rains, you will be provided with a raincoat. You need to be comfortable cleaning the outside yard when necessary. You will work with very large parts and must wear steel-toed boots that are 6 inches high.
