Compensation

The salary for this role is $120,000 - $145,000. This is the range that we in good faith anticipate relying on when setting wages for this position. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and this range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in San Diego. This salary range may also be modified in the future.

About the Role:

LS Power is seeking a Senior Project Developer who will have day-to-day responsibility for successfully navigating the project development phase for complex utility scale decarbonization projects with a focus on greenfield wind energy. Responsibilities would include collaboration with internal resources and oversight and setting direction of external support resources and activities to ensure project success. Project development activities include market analysis support, project conceptualization, grid study oversight, wind and solar resource assessment direction, site evaluation, wind lease and ROW acquisition, environmental/regulatory permitting, public relations support, engineering interface and contract negotiation support.

Qualifications

  • Have a bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering, business, environment or a related field

  • Have 2 to 7 years of project development, environmental permitting or development engineering experience preferably in developing utility scale wind infrastructure projects

  • Wind power development experience in Texas a plus

  • Effectively managed multiple assignments under time constraints

  • Are solutions focused team player with the ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse team

  • Have excellent time management and organizational skills

  • Have excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Have strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Work independently with direction on a regular basis
