Job Summary

The Road Performance System (RPS) Trainer for GAF Roads will be responsible for helping to plan, develop, and lead training events for pavement maintenance professionals on a regional and nationwide basis. They will work with the Sales and Marketing teams to maintain a regular event calendar, help solicit attendance, and ensure high learner satisfaction enabling growth of our installer network consistent with our brand values. They will also work with the Customer Operations and Engineer & Technology teams to build and improve learning pathways and the content required to achieve industry leading job performance quality and efficiency. Training sessions will cover a range of project management and technical topics delivered to internal and external audiences in classroom, webinar, and in-field modalities.

Essential Duties

  • Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:◦ Assist in the development of instructional content covering installation techniques, equipment troubleshooting and service, and workflow processes◦ Continually improve facilitation techniques and learning assets to ensure program content is highly engaging and relevant◦ Support the implementation and refinement of operational processes required to efficiently deliver learner content and run training events◦ Leverage feedback to improve programmatic offerings by addressing perceived gaps or identified market opportunities to create value for learners and customers◦ Service as a trusted liaison and resource for installers–be it answering a call for help or facilitating the introduction of a new product or service

Qualifications Required

  • 5+ years of running a pavement maintenance or road paving construction crew

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills

  • Comfort speaking to audiences large and small

  • Comfort and confidence being filmed & recorded

  • Ability to build and maintain trust and rapport with customers and collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders

  • Self-motivated, adaptable, and resilient

  • Bilingual (English and Spanish)

Qualifications Preferred

  • Knowledge of asphalt pavement and maintenance treatments, including performance qualities and assessment methodologies

  • Hands-on experience with mechanical, electrical, and software engineering components and an understanding of how they interact in a sophisticated electromechanical system

  • Knowledge of learner development strategies and tools

  • Familiarity with continuous process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma)

  • Experience employing analytics to guide decision making

  • Passion for championing behavior change and change management

  • Attention, accountability, and commitment to getting details right

Travel Requirements: up to 50%-75% travel

Annual Salary Range: 85,500-109,250
