Your role as a Padres Production Technician:     You will perform any number of job duties for the Padres Production team during games or Petco Park events (e.g. – camera, replay, Daktronics, Ross Xpression graphics, DreamCatcher clip video playback, video shading, and social media) All the responsibilities we will trust you with: * Exemplifying our Petco Park Promise: CARE, CONNECT, EXCEED by consistently striving to exceed all guests’ expectations * Being assigned as a camera operator who shoots crowd shots, half-inning promotions, ceremonies, and game action for replays and videos. May also shoot video of Padres events in the community * Being assigned as one of our Evertz DreamCatcher operators who loads video content, builds video playlists, and organizes quick playback during games * Filling in as a DreamCatcher replay technician who works in tandem with lead replay operator to provide multiple angles of plays, building various packages and be responsible for tagging designated information for archive * Being assigned as one of our Ross Xpression operators who calls up graphics, cues player headshots, creates lower third graphics, and other light content creation as requested * Being assigned as one of our video shaders responsible for color correction and video shading that meets television industry standards, as well as operating robotic cameras Your areas of knowledge and expertise that matter most:                            * Being consistent, punctual, and having reliable attendance * Having a bachelor’s degree is preferred, or equivalent relevant job education and experience in TV production utilizing broadcast equipment above * Having camera experience, replay experience, video playback, or graphics operator at a television station or equivalent experience at a similarly situated entertainment or sports facility * Having thorough knowledge of the game of baseball, score keeping, and the Padres’ organization * Having an understanding of sports broadcasting, cabling and field production * Having the ability to work well with co-workers and supervisors in a team environment You will be required to meet the following: * Must be at least 18 years of age by the start of employment * Minimum physical requirements:  able to travel to and gain access to various areas of the ballpark for prolonged periods of time during games and events; able to lift and transport up to 25 pounds * Available to work Padres home games, as well as other games hosted at Petco Park, which can include weekday afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays * As a condition of employment, you must successfully complete all post-offer, pre-employment requirements, including but not limited to a background check.  Salary and Additional Compensation: Per the California pay transparency law, the pay rate for this position ranges from $20.42-$42.00 per hour. Part- time non-union employees are subject to the San Diego Living Wage Ordinance and rates will increase accordingly.
