Job Title: Outside Machinist

Job Description

• As an Outside Machinist, you will maintain and repair a variety of ship's propulsion and auxiliary systems, including Steam, Turbine, Electrical, and Diesel propulsion systems, rudders, steering gear, elevators, and Navy UNREP systems. You will also be responsible for the installation, repair, and maintenance of ship's fluid systems, which include pumps, compressors, purifiers, heat exchangers, actuators, and valves. This role requires testing of equipment to ensure systems meet specifications

• Installation and testing of various shop equipment, and performing maintenance on boilers, pumps, and valves. You will work aboard ships on auxiliary equipment, pumps, valves, and boiler systems.

• Moreover, the role involves performing major and specialized mechanical overhaul and repair work on gasoline and marine engines, outboard motors, and related marine equipment and systems using schematic charts and technical manuals.
