Job Title: Mechanical Assembler

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Assembler to join our team. You will be responsible for electrical sub-assemblies, following production drawings, sample assemblies, and verbal instructions. You will interpret electromechanical schematics, drawings, work instructions, and bills of material to understand the required parts and steps needed. You will pre-cut component cables and wires, connect component cables and wires between individual component leads and other components, connectors, terminals, and contact points. You will position and align parts in a specified relationship to each other in jig, fixture, or other holding devices. You will modify and crimp wires to meet sub-assembly requirements, use hand tools to place small components, cables, and connectors, and perform basic tests. Additionally, you will adjust or trim materials from components to achieve specified electrical or dimensional characteristics, inspect completed electrical sub-assemblies, and troubleshoot and rework defects on sub-assemblies.

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in San Diego, California.

Work Environment

Large indoor/outdoor warehouse (heat, cold, wind, and sun daily). Located at 5660 Eastgate Drive, San Diego, CA. Working Monday - Friday with two shifts available: 1st shift: 5:00am - 1:30pm You will be part of a production team of 20 people, reporting to Production Supervisor Ron.
