Job Title: Material Handler

Job Description

To receive, verify, locate, scrap, store, and transport material used in the manufacturing process.

• Execute picks for internal delivery to production cells.

• Pack, load and unload a variety of conveyances.

• Conduct audits for 5S and Safety.

• Move material within the warehouse and manufacturing plant.

• Ensure that product meets quality specifications.

• Participate actively as a team member through continuous improvement activities to meet customer needs.

• Notify Supervisor or other appropriate resource when problems arise concerning equipment, operations, materials, inventory, documentation, etc.

• Operate power industrial equipment (e.g., stand-up, sit-down, and order picker forklift trucks) if needed.

• Must be able to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required by work area, such as safety glasses, earplugs, hard hats, gloves, and steel toe shoes.

• Must follow all established company SAFETY processes.

• Deal with complexity in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

• May be required to perform additional duties as assigned.

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 4 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in San Diego, California.

Work Environment

Monday – Friday; mandatory the last week of the month to meet any deadlines.

Work hours may range from 1-2 hours a day and some Saturdays may be required.

1st shift: 6:00am - 2:30pm
