The Manager, Social Media is responsible for leading large Scripps social media initiatives, digital campaigns, projects and programs. Drives Scripps' engagement, nurturing and growth of its social media community as well as executing Scripps' strategic goals in building brand awareness and preference, creating brand loyalty and driving lead generation and conversion. Leads and establishes Scripps social media communications and advertising strategy. Oversees reputation management and community engagement. Manages relationships with vendors. Provides social media best practices, consultation to stakeholders and partners. Creates strategic social media policy and provides consultation and recommendations for complex projects and initiatives. Educates, guides and collaborates with department stakeholders to effectively leverage social media and digital marketing as part of marketing and communication plans. Create customized, CRM-tracked landing pages. Utilize strong analytical ability to evaluate end-to-end customer experience across multiple channels and customer touch points. Establishes the process and guidelines for the development, management and monitoring of content across social channels. Serves as expert representative of Scripps with key influencers in the digital space. Identifies and evaluates trends and new digital technologies and uses web analytic tools to measure, track and report on social media initiatives, projects, and programs to better optimize content success. Closely monitor competitors' and market leaders' social and digital presence. Present findings and make strategic recommendations to executive management.

Required Education/Experience/Specialized Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communication, digital media or related field or 4 years of professional experience in planning, managing and executing web, digital or social media initiatives, and paid campaigns.
  • Extensive experience with prevalent social media platforms and digital marketing.
  • Excellent writing, editing and optimization skills.
  • Working knowledge of analytics tools and expertise in measuring ROI of organic and paid social.
  • Knowledge of digital marketing best practices and understanding of digital production processes.
  • Expertise in digital content creation.
  • Expertise in social targeting and retargeting.
  • CRM system experience.
  • Expertise in paid social campaigns across channels, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, LinkedIn and Yelp.
  • Experience managing vendors including Yelp, Facebook, reputation management companies and social scheduling platforms.
  • Expertise in reputation management best practices, including social media communities and review responses. **

Preferred Education/Experience/Specialized Skills/Certification:

  • Healthcare experience.
  • Familiarity with website development; content management systems; video and podcast production; user interface and information architecture, graphic design and layout; branding, SEM, and digital advertising.
