As a Systems Administrator, you will be responsible for ensuring that all Dunham information systems are properly working – from end-user setup and troubleshooting to data center administration and support. This is not a remote or hybrid opportunity, the position requires San Diego local residency and in-office work. We are not able to sponsor visas at this time.
Essential Functions
As our IT System Administrator, you’ll wear many hats to keep our systems and people running smoothly:
Virtual Environment Guru : Configure, implement, monitor, and maintain our virtual environments, telecom systems, network infrastructure, workstations, servers, and business applications. You’ll be our go-to expert for all things IT.
Help Desk Hero : Provide top-notch technical support in person, over the phone, and via email for all locations and remote team members. Your expertise will keep our workforce humming.
Process Improver : Identify opportunities to enhance existing processes or develop new ones that make life easier for everyone.
Problem Solver Extraordinaire : Tackle challenges with resourcefulness, whether scripting automated solutions, engaging stakeholders, or driving projects to completion.
Media Maestro : Serve as our in-house expert for multimedia, streaming, image development, graphics, and audio projects.
IT All-Star : Take on other job-related duties with enthusiasm and adaptability as needed.
What You Bring to the Team
We’re looking for someone with a robust skill set and a passion for technology. Here’s what you’ll need to succeed:
Requirements
Technical Expertise : A solid background in IT, including computers (hardware and software), storage, servers, business applications, networking, and telecommunications (VOIP).
Networking Know-How : Familiarity with LAN, WAN, MPLS, internet technologies, and current data/voice communications infrastructure.
Microsoft Savvy : Experience with Microsoft server environments like Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, Group Policy Management, Exchange Server, SQL Server, and IIS.
Data Center Experience : Knowledge of virtualized servers, SANs, and backup/recovery techniques.
Office 365 Proficiency : In-depth understanding of standard Office 365 applications.
Cybersecurity Support : Work closely with the CISO on cybersecurity initiatives.
People Skills : Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. You’re great with people and a team player.
Customer Focus : A strong service orientation and a knack for solving user issues.
Time Management : Stellar ability to juggle multiple tasks and meet deadlines under pressure.
Flexibility : Available for occasional after-hours or weekend work and travel to branch locations.
Preferred Experience
While not required, these skills and experiences will make you stand out:
Education : Bachelor’s degree in computer science or information systems (or equivalent work experience).
Certifications : Vendor or IT certifications.
Cybersecurity Knowledge : Experience in cybersecurity initiatives.
Technical Skills : Familiarity with SQL, VoIP, Office 365, Azure, PowerShell, Salesforce, and even AI.
Industry Experience a Plus : A background in financial services.
Salary commensurate with experience to include education and certifications:
$36 per hour / $75,000 annually to $50 per hour / $105,000 annually
Dunham offers a complete benefits package to full-time employees who regularly work more than 30 hours per week. Interns and temporary employees are not eligible for these benefits.
