Lockheed Martin Integration (SPY-1) Field Technician in San Diego, California

THE WORK

Will ensure the AN/SPY-1 Radar equipment is operational and available to support Aegis Modernization Tasking in various locations. This position coordinates with the AN/SPY-1 Radar Systems Engineer for primarily signal processor and antenna equipment but may include AN/SPY-1 Transmitter Equipment as well. Additionally, this technician assists in identifying, isolating, and repairing the SPY-1 equipment problems.

To be successful, you will need to:

• Ensure AN/SPY Radar equipment is activated, operational and properly configured to support each test event.

• Identify and resolve equipment and documentation discrepancies.

• Execute AN/SPY-1 Radar Planned Maintenance System (PMS) in support of Pre-assessments and ALO Assessments.

• Assist during test performance, with collection and analysis of performance data, and in the resolution of radar logistics issues.

• Support crew familiarization with AN/SPY-1 Radar System equipment, maintenance, and operations.

Candidate must have a DoD Final Secret Security Clearance prior to starting this position.

US Citizenship is required.

Basic Qualifications:

• This position requires travel up to 50 percent of the time.

• Field experience in electronic repair.

• Familiarity with hardware, software, and network test equipment used to evaluate and correct operational failures (i.e. multi-meters, o-scopes, spectrum and network analyzers).

• Ability to conduct fault detection/fault isolation procedures and perform Planned Maintenance System (PMS) procedures for AN/SPY-1 radar.

• Capable of administering crew training when required in operation, maintenance and troubleshooting of the AN/SPY-1 Radar Equipment.

• This position requires work on Naval Vessels, both in-port and underway. Employee will be expected to work in confined spaces and climb ladders and steep stairs.

Desired Skills:

• UNIX-based open architecture experience; ability to understand UNIX-based program commands and local area network (LAN) theory.

• Experience with any AEGIS baselines AN/SPY-1 Multi Mission Signal Processor.

• Experience with Ballistic Missile Defense (BMD) Signal Processor equipment.

• Knowledge of, or experience in, troubleshooting and maintaining functional equipment areas of the Aegis Weapon System to include UYQ-70 Display equipment, ORTS, ALIS LAN architecture, COTS-based processing systems used onboard AEGIS Ships or other military UNIX based display equipment.

Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: Non- standard 40 hour work week as assigned by leader

Pay Rate:

The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Maryland, Washington or Washington DC is $60,800 - $116,500. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.

Pay Rate:

The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California and New York is $69,900 - $126,600.
