We are inviting applications for the role of an Intake Legal Assistant with an AmLaw 200 law firm, based in San Diego with six other offices around the nation. This role entails working primarily with the conflicts team to manage new client matters, with a focus on data entry, client interaction, and daily correspondence with attorneys. The successful candidate will be tasked with processing file maintenance requests and juggling multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Handling the intake of new clients and opening new client matters in collaboration with the conflicts team (conflicts understanding is extremely helpful).

• Performing heavy data entry tasks and maintaining organized records.

• Regularly corresponding with attorneys to gather pertinent information relating to new and ongoing client matters.

Details of Role:

· Hours: 8:30am - 5pm. OT is limited! The firm likes to maintain work/life balance. You won’t be expected to reply to emails late at night or log on after hours.

· Location: Downtown San Diego Monday-Friday. Parking is provided for free in the building. Please do not apply if you cannot work on site daily!

· Compensation: $50,000 - $55,000, depending on stability on resume and caliber of firms worked at (plus prior intake experience, of course). Higher wages may be given for those with conflicts experience.

Requirements

• 1+ years of experience handling intake at a law firm.

• Exposure to conflicts is super beneficial.

• Ability to commute to San Diego (downtown) daily.
