Robert Half is partnering with a client in the construction industry to find an experienced and driven Human Resources Generalist. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment and contribute to HR operations that drive employee engagement and operational excellence across the organization. Key Responsibilities:

  • Recruitment & Onboarding: Drive the recruitment process, from sourcing candidates to conducting interviews and onboarding new employees.

  • Policy Implementation: Ensure compliance with company policies, local labor laws, and industry standards while assisting in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.

  • Employee Relations: Serve as a trusted point of contact for employees and management, addressing concerns, resolving conflicts, and driving engagement initiatives.

  • Payroll & Benefits: Support payroll processing, administer employee benefit programs, and act as an advisor on benefits options and enrollment timelines.

  • Compliance & Reporting: Maintain and update employee records to comply with regulatory requirements and generate periodic reports for analysis of HR key performance metrics.

  • Training & Development: Assist in identifying and coordinating training and development opportunities to foster employee growth and skill-building.

  • Performance Management: Support performance evaluation processes and provide feedback to leadership on employee performance trends.

    Requirements

  • Experience: 3+ years of experience in human resources, ideally as a generalist or in a related capacity. Exposure to the construction, manufacturing, or industrial sector is preferred.

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required. SHRM-CP or PHR certification is a plus.

  • Knowledge: Strong knowledge of HR best practices, employment laws (FMLA, FLSA, EEO, etc.), and regulatory compliance within the construction industry.

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with HRIS platforms (e.g., ADP, Paycom) and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).

  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a professional demeanor.

  • Organizational Skills: Ability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced, project-focused environment.

  • Problem-Solving: Proactive, resourceful, and solution-oriented with strong attention to detail.
