Scripps Health Epic Healthy Planet Specialist - San Diego in San Diego, California
This is a benefited, full-time position (80 hours per pay period) working Monday through Friday, fully remote. Although remote, this individual must reside in the San Diego area or be willing to relocate. As an Epic Healthy Planet Application Specialist, you will:
Act independently to lead cross functional, integrated team to create performance improvements across multiple domains.
Translate business requirements into operational solutions.
Proactively evaluate technical enhancements and consult with business to provide solutions to technical or process issues, guiding to best practices.
Provide guidance, train and develop the skills of less experienced IT staff.
Required Education/Experience/Specialized Skills:
- Five years related experience.
- Excellent critical and analytical thinking and excellent customer service skills.
- Exhibit excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Expert knowledge of relevant application workflows.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills.
- Business acumen in multiple functional areas.
Required Certification/Registration:
- Current Epic Ambulatory & Healthy Planet Certification.
Preferred Education/Experience/Specialized Skills/Certification:
- Bachelor's degree.
- 7 years of related experience - Epic Healthy Planet or Ambulatory.
- 5 years of Epic configuration and build experience.
- Previous experience building and maintaining registries.
- Experience with clinical decision support/workflow tools, metrics and reporting.
- Leadership experience.
- Has led and managed projects or technical activities.
