Scripps Health Epic Application Analyst - Grand Central/Prelude in San Diego, California

*This is a full time position with day shifts, generally Monday through Friday. Occasional weekends and on-call rotation. This position is work-from-home, but requires residency within the San Diego area. Includes $5k retention incentive and $5k relocation incentive for eligible new hires. *

The Epic Application Analyst will build and maintain both the Grand Central and Prelude modules. The Grand Central/Prelude application coordinates with operational registration and patient movement teams across all of our hospitals and clinics, as well as other IS teams.

Responsibilities include: · Under general direction, participates on cross functional, integrated teams to troubleshoot complex problems across multiple domains. · Designs, builds and tests system configuration. · Translates business requirements into technical solutions. · Conducts quality reviews of system builds. · Integrates new technology and approaches to innovate current workflows The following are not eligible for hiring incentives:

  • Internal candidates

  • Rehires that left Scripps less than 3 years ago

  • Candidates with less than 1 year of experience

  • Must already have both Epic Grand Central and Prelude certifications

In order to remain eligible for your retention incentive the following criteria must be met :

  • Must remain in original hired FTE Status and Shift (if specified in offer letter)

  • Must remain in original department/specialty

  • Must remain in original Job Title

  • Transfers to other locations will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis and may result in forfeiting remaining incentive bonus unless specifically noted in your offer letter.

Required Education/Experience/Specialized Skills:

  • Excellent critical and analytical thinking and excellent customer service skills.
  • Exhibit excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Advanced troubleshooting and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills.

  • Epic Grand Central and Prelude certifications/accreditations, ORability to obtain both certifications/accreditationswithin 6 months of hire or 90 days after last class

  • Has led small projects or technical activities.
  • Business acumen in functional area.
  • Bachelors degree
