Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is looking to add an Electronics Engineer - Sensors Supplier Management Lead OR Principal Electronics Engineer - Sensors Supplier Management Lead to join our team in Rancho Bernando, CA. This position will be in our Avionics Integration Organization.

This candidate will be responsible for the entire program lifecycle to include development, production and sustainment of Triton RADAR and SIGINT systems as a Supplier Management Lead and engineer on the Mission Systems IPT Sensors Team.

Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Coordinating and managing the execution of all phases of supplier performance which includes planning, proposals, new capability development, production, testing, deliveries, and sustainment.

  • Conducting or coordinating review of supplier documentation (e.g. technical evaluations of proposals, acceptance test procedures, cost and schedule reports, software version description documents).

  • Generating and reviewing Supplier Statement of Work (SSoW).

  • Tracking delivered assets and managing repairs/RTVs.

  • Reporting supplier status to Program Managers, GSC managers, and IPT Management.

  • Performing EO/IR, RADAR and SIGINT subsystem analysis, documentation of system requirements and interfaces with traceability to platform requirements.

  • Working within an Integrated Product Team (IPT) environment, interfacing with IPT leadership, suppliers, customers, and other technical disciplines.

  • Coordinating the identification, tracking, and resolution of all risks, issues, and opportunities, including root cause/corrective action of technical issues.

This position offers a hybrid work environment, allowing the selected candidate to telework at least one day a week and requires the ability to travel up to 10% of the time.

This position can be filled at either the Electronics Engineer level or the Principal Electronics Engineer level, depending upon the qualifications below.

Basic Qualifications - Electronics Engineer:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline and 2 years of related engineering experience; OR a Master’s degree in a STEM discipline and 0 years of related engineering experience.

  • Experience with requirements development and requirements allocation/flow down.

  • Ability to draft and evaluate Supplier Statements of Work.

  • Active in-Scope, DoD Secret clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret clearance once in position.

  • Ability to obtain and maintain initial Special Program Access (SAP). This SAP must be obtained within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the company to meet its business needs.

Basic Qualifications - Principal Electronics Engineer:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline and 5 years of related engineering experience; OR a Master’s degree in a STEM discipline and 3 years of related engineering experience; OR a PhD in a STEM discipline.

  • Experience with requirements development and requirements allocation/flow down.

  • Ability to draft and evaluate Supplier Statements of Work.

  • Active in-Scope, DoD Secret clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret clearance once in position.

  • Ability to obtain and maintain initial Special Program Access (SAP). This SAP must be obtained within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the company to meet its business needs.

Preferred Qualifications for both levels:

  • Active DoD Top Secret clearance

  • Understanding of EO/IR, RADAR, SIGINT, and/or AIS sensor operation and data products to include image analysis

  • Experience with Air-to-Ground SIGINT systems

  • Experience in Supplier Management

  • Signals Intelligence expertise and experience

  • RADAR expertise and experience

  • Experience leading a team of engineers

  • Operational experience

  • Ability to communicate complex issues effectively to crowds with diverse perspectives

  • Ability to prioritize disparate tasks

Salary Range: $87,200 - $130,800

Salary Range 2: $107,300 - $160,900

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
