Business Development Executive, Medical Device and Pharma, West Coast, U.S.

Must haves:

B2B experience selling laboratory testing services into Medical Device, Pharmaceuticals, CDMO, or similar Life Sciences organizations.

Bachelors degree in life sciences or business.

Strong science background (chemistry, microbiology, etc.).

Summary:

The Business Development Executive (BDE) role develops new business opportunities for our testing services and manages key customer relationships, in the Medical Device/Pharma/Life Sciences sector. The primary focus of this BDE position will be on the Medical Device and Pharmaceutical industries, where Infinity Labs has significant experience and expertise. The ideal candidate will have direct experience selling laboratory testing services, ideally with familiarity with medical device and pharmaceutical organizations, strong chemistry/microbiology/lab operations knowledge, proven success in sales, and experienced in customer service. Candidates in this role are responsible for achieving the sales and revenue targets for their assigned territory and industry segments.

Essential Duties / Responsibilities:

  • Present Infinity Laboratories services to prospective clients in the Medical Device, Pharmaceutical, CDMO sectors.
  • Deliver proposals/quotations, and acquire new clients by managing virtual and in-person meetings, in order to secure project/contract commitments.
  • Develop and manage a Sales Plan, for respective territory and industry segments, in order to achieve/exceed quarterly sales targets.
  • Collaborate with Project Managers to research accounts, and identify key contacts/decision-makers, with the intent of expanding existing partnerships.
  • Responsible for achieving the sales and revenue targets for assigned territory and/or industry segment.
  • Maintain quarterly sales/revenue targets with objectives for key clients, geographic territory, and end market/industry segments.
  • Understand customer technical requirements, and effectively qualify new leads.
  • Maintain and expand our CRM database of prospective clients.
  • Provide post-contract support to enhance the overall customer experience.
  • Negotiate terms/contracts, as may be related to CDAs and/or MSAs, in collaboration with Commercial Leadership.
  • Keep Commercial Leadership informed by submitting activity and results reports, such as call reports, sales plans, and monthly and annual territory sales analyses.
  • Monitor competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, services, turnaround times, etc., as well as actively collaborate with Marketing and Sales Operations team members.
  • Recommends changes in products, services, and policies by evaluating results and competitive developments.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; and participating in professional societies and events.

Education:

  • Bachelors degree in life sciences or business field.

Experience:

  • 5-10 years of successful B2B sales of laboratory testing services into Life Sciences organizations.
    • Medical Device, Pharmaceutical, CDMO contract service sales experience is preferred.
  • Strong science background (chemistry, microbiology, etc.)
