Robert Half Business Analyst in San Diego, California

Description We are in the hospitality industry, specifically based in San Diego, California, and are currently on the search for a Business Analyst. This role will involve the administration, maintenance, and processing of assigned accounting and finance systems that generate transactions, reports, and financial statements.

Responsibilities:

• Administer, maintain, and process assigned accounting and finance systems

• Assist users in defining requirements and ensure system integration

• Coordinate with various departments for timely data submission

• Update database tables and control files as per established procedures

• Review system outputs for accuracy and partake in system processing changes

• Develop and maintain system procedures and documentation

• Coordinate activities with IT department, including scheduling, troubleshooting, and system balancing

• Resolve user inquiries regarding system usage and problems

• Conduct training sessions and develop user training materials

• Create and distribute financial adhoc reports

• Analyze system output to detect and resolve errors or discrepancies

• Perform testing and troubleshooting issues for Oracle ERP General Ledger and Oracle EPM

• Assist with accounting system integrations, upgrades, and transitions

• Validate and reconcile reports from multiple systems

• Utilize various computer platforms and software applications to manage workload

• Demonstrate proficiency with PC skills and intermediate knowledge of MS 365 tools

• Utilize strong experience with financial consolidation systems such as Oracle ERP and Oracle EPM. Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Business Analyst in the Hospitality industry

• Proficient in Atlassian Jira, CRM, and Database management

• Solid experience with EO/IR systems and Gap Analysis

• Familiarity with AB Testing and Agile Scrum methodologies

• Ability to understand and interpret Business Process Functions

• Experience in creating and managing Business Requirement Documents

• Knowledge of Claim Administration procedures

• Proficiency with Oracle ERP and Oracle EPM systems

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems or related field.
