Analytical Scientist - Small Molecules

| San Diego, CA | Contract | $35-45/hr+ DOE |

We are seeking a skilled Analytical Scientist with a keen eye for detail to join our team. The successful candidate will operate analytical equipment related to small molecule chemistry, characterization, and stabilization techniques, using HPLC and other methods to assess the solubility and stability of drug candidates for ophthalmic and injectable drug products. The ideal candidate will be a team player, highly motivated, and committed to continuously improving processes and adhering to operational best practices.

Role and Responsibilities:

• Operate analytical equipment such as HPLC-UV, LC-MS, and particle size dispersion equipment.

• Develop analytical methods for drug product prototypes.

• Conduct experiments to characterize ophthalmic and parenteral formulations, drug delivery systems, and drug-eluting formulations.

• Prepare product development reports and maintain laboratory documentation in compliance with scientific, regulatory, and intellectual property requirements.

Key Qualifications and Competencies:

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or a related field; advanced degree preferred.

• At least 3 year of experience in a corporate environment with analytical development of small molecules.

• Experience with HPLC-UV and/or LC-MS.

• Demonstrated ability to conduct experiments and analyze data.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Vaccinated against COVID-19 per CDC guidelines.

• High personal integrity and strong work ethic.
