Description

Do you want to use your organizational and administrative skills to contribute to a meaningful cause? Robert Half is seeking a dedicated Administrative Assistant to join a nonprofit organization making a difference in the community. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and passionate about supporting the team and mission of a cause-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support daily administrative tasks, including scheduling meetings, preparing agendas, and maintaining calendars for leadership and staff.

  • Handle incoming phone calls, emails, and correspondence, directing inquiries to the appropriate person or department.

  • Assist with filing, recordkeeping, and maintaining accurate and organized documentation in both physical and digital formats.

  • Prepare, format, and edit documents, presentations, and reports as required.

  • Coordinate office supplies, monitor inventory, and place orders to ensure adequate resources for operations.

  • Manage the logistics for internal and external meetings, including arranging space, technology, and catering needs.

  • Support event planning, fundraising efforts, and community outreach when needed.

  • Serve as a point of contact for nonprofit staff and stakeholders, fostering clear communication and collaboration.

    Requirements

  • Education: High school diploma required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred, ideally in Business, Nonprofit Management, or a related field.

  • Experience: 1-2 years of administrative support experience, preferably in a nonprofit or mission-driven organization.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and basic understanding of office management tools.

  • Strong organizational skills with an ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • High degree of professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality when handling sensitive matters.

  • Passion for the nonprofit sector and alignment with the organization’s mission.

  • Preferred: Familiarity with donor management systems or database management is a plus.
