Responsibilities
The Echocardiology Technologist shall assume the responsibility of the day-to-day clinical operation and quality assurance of the Echocardiology Service. All the criteria-based duties and standards within this document will be performed according to established policies, procedures, and guidelines within the department and the Medical Center. This position requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission of St. Bernardine Medical Center. It is expected that the employee will demonstrate behavior consistent with the Core Values. The employee shall support St. Bernardine Medical Center's strategic plan and the goals and direction of the quality improvement/process improvement activities.
Qualifications
Experience Required :
- Minimum of one (1) year of independent experience performing echocardiograms with spectral and color flow Doppler in a health care setting or a cardiology clinic is required.
Education Required:
Graduate of two year (CVT) Cardiovascular Technician program
High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
Experience Preferred:
Associates of Arts or Bachelors of Science degree is preferred.
Graduate of a two year program with minimum of six (6) month internship in acute care cardiology setting is preferred.
Licensure Minimum Requirement
BLS from American Heart Association
Either American Registry or Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or The Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) credential.
Individuals currently employed within the department and role must obtain appropriate credential within one year from implementation of requirement.
Pay Range
$44.83 - $55.67 /hour
