Job Description:
The Geotechnical Engineer applies engineering principles and concepts to plan and perform project management and engineering duties for design, construction administration, assessments, and investigations.
Responsibilities:
Test and evaluate subsurface conditions as they relate to planned construction in accordance with requirements.
Produce project specifications, reports, and estimates including detailed engineering calculations.
Collect and analyze data, perform routine calculations, and participate in feasibility studies.
Develop quality deliverables, documentation, and technical reports within schedule and budgetary requirements.
Collaborate with clients, subconsultant partners, technical staff, and managers across multiple disciplines.
Build relationships with current and prospective clients to enable business development.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with 2-4 years of industry experience (or similar combination).
Valid driver’s license, with acceptable driving record and relevant industry certifications.
Readiness and ability to obtain PE licensure during employment.
Comfort with standard office and collaboration software (i.e. Microsoft Office, Teams, SharePoint).
Strong organizational, partnership building, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.
Exceptional mathematical abilities, as well as written and verbal communication skills.
Able to work independently and as part of a team with minimal supervision.
General understanding and knowledge of the GEOT and construction industry and regulatory climate.
Ability to travel, as needed.
