Welder

Job Description

Responsible for inspecting and maintaining dies throughout the plant. This role involves working with several different product lines, each with unique dies. The welder will operate an overhead crane to move dies to the shop, conduct inspections on mechanical and electrical components, and perform routine preventive maintenance as well as repairs on cracked or non-working dies.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and maintain dies throughout the plant

• Operate an overhead crane to move dies to the shop

• Conduct inspections on mechanical and electrical components

• Perform routine preventive maintenance on dies

• Repair cracked or non-working dies

• TIG weld on stainless steel

• Grind and perform minor repairs on dies

• Fabricate guards and racks

Essential Skills

• Experience in TIG welding on stainless steel

• Experience with grinding and minor repairs

• Basic understanding of mechanical and electrical components

• Experience with overhead cranes

• Basic tooling or die maintenance experience

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in fabricating guards and racks

• Experience with preventive maintenance on dies

• Ability to train into a Tool and Die technician role

Work Environment

Tig Welders will train on first shift for 6-8 weeks. The work schedule is Monday to Friday with occasional Saturdays, on a two-week rotating shift: 6am-4:30pm (flexible to 6pm) then 6pm-4:30am (flexible to 6am).

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of SAN ANTONIO, Texas.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.43 - $20.43
