Valero Relocations Associate in SAN ANTONIO, Texas

Description:

Assists the Relocations team by coordinating furniture installation and disassembly with various moving, installation companies and related product vendors. Works closely with internal departments and various employees of company hierarchy in accomplishing any type of internal moving needs. Develops relationships with others during the total relocation process itself and adapts to ever changing priorities and directions as required to achieve total customer satisfaction.

  • Monitors and completes work assignments on a daily basis, and ensures project and completion schedules are met.
  • Loads and unloads furniture product to project site by installing, disassembling and moving product accordingly.
  • Assists with employee moves to include computers, ergonomic equipment, telephones, furniture and work contents.
  • Works with Facility Maintenance for power, cabling and furniture configuration solutions.
  • Assists team by providing input on office/cubicle layouts to ensure work is accomplished according to manufacturer’s recommendations and company standards for the purposes of safety.
  • Reviews CAD drawings for furniture installations for accuracy as specified and approved by management. Promptly identifies any deviations or changes required in the field and ensures management is aware prior to any work being performed.
  • Recognizes problems and works with team to provide alternative suggestions and solutions, understands importance of deadlines and handles heavy workloads as required.
  • Completes employee weekly moves and determines ergonomic assessments, needs and when to seek approval for ergonomic accommodations via HR.
  • Works with contracted external moving and installation crews on property to ensure furniture movement and installations are complete for small and large projects within allotted time.
  • Serves as backup to team by assisting in maintaining updates to floor plans.
  • Prioritizes stages of work, resolves “punchlist” issues post project completion, and ensures clean-up at site.
  • Provides job status updates, and provides weekly and monthly report information to Manager.
  • Works efficiently and in a timely manner without sacrificing quality.
  • Maintains furniture inventories to prevent double ordering and to keep furniture costs down.
  • Works with the team to assist other departments and groups within Valero, as needed, to ensure large company events and venues (I.e., United Way, Texas Open and BFC among others) are set up correctly in an efficient manner and meets required timelines.
  • This position is salaried nonexempt status, which means you are eligible for overtime pay.

Qualifications:
* High School diploma or GED required. * Experience in the following areas is preferred: furniture moving services, furniture assembly, furniture installation, furniture-related customer service, working with major manufacturer’s furniture products required. * Experience in installing and uninstalling standard computer configurations required. * Able and willing to work on-site, in-person at the Valero San Antonio location, required. * Ergonomics certifications preferred.

Position level and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
