Job Title: Quality Control Specialist
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Quality Control Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will work closely with R&D and production teams to ensure product specifications and ingredient standards are met. This role involves monitoring production equipment, managing product quality, and issuing corrective actions for deviations.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with R&D and production teams to monitor product specifications and control ingredient standards.
Control and calibrate production equipment to ensure standard operation and meet specifications.
Assist the production team in maintaining product quality through problem-solving and corrective actions for deviations.
Communicate with affected departments regarding deviations caused by actions to stabilize or improve products.
Manage the process for issuing temporary or permanent changes to recipes to maintain product quality and control.
Maintain and update operator manuals and training documents related to process improvements.
Regularly communicate with production and quality teams on project status and priorities to improve product quality and control.
Report inconsistent product and line parameters to relevant departments, including Production, Quality, and Maintenance.
Assist in enhancing the product and system knowledge of operators to promote product and equipment awareness.
Collect and analyze data to support improvements in product quality.
Develop and maintain quality and food safety standards.
Essential Skills
3-4+ years of experience in food manufacturing.
Experience in quality assurance or quality control within food manufacturing.
Proficiency in data analysis.
Knowledge of the baking process, packaging, and quality control.
Flexibility to work across multiple shifts.
Teamwork mentality.
Strong interest in the product.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Understanding of safe work practices, and safety & environmental regulations.
Strong organizational skills.
Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
Strong problem-solving skills.
Ability to assess, prioritize, and resolve plant issues.
Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, bend, climb stairs, and lift up to 50lbs.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
R&D experience.
Bachelor's degree in food science.
Experience within quality assurance or quality control in food manufacturing.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $55000.00 - $72000.00
