Description: We are seeking an MRB Engineer to join our team on-site in San Antonio, TX. This is a full-time, direct opportunity with benefits. In this hands-on role, you will be the first-line engineer working directly with production teams to resolve non-conformance issues, implement rework solutions, and support as-built configurations. You will play a critical role in ensuring manufacturing processes run smoothly by identifying and implementing engineering-approved repair procedures in compliance with FAA, Boeing, and customer standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Act as the first-line engineer on-site, working directly with mechanics, technicians, and production teams to quickly resolve product issues.
Support the Material Review Board (MRB) by analyzing non-conforming materials, parts, and assemblies, determining appropriate rework or repair solutions.
Develop and implement repair procedures for structural and system discrepancies using Boeing and FAA-approved methods.
Create and revise engineering redline drawings to document as-built configurations and modifications accurately.
Utilize CATIA V5 to review, modify, and validate engineering models and drawings to support manufacturing and repair activities.
Work closely with manufacturing, quality, and engineering teams to troubleshoot fabrication, assembly, and production challenges.
Interpret and apply engineering drawings, Boeing Structural Repair Manuals (SRM), and FAR regulations to ensure compliant repair and modification processes.
Ensure compliance with FAA, Boeing, and customer specifications when implementing rework or repair activities.
Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for recurring non-conformances, working to improve manufacturing processes and prevent future issues.
Support on-site inspections and provide technical guidance to mechanics and production teams on repair execution.
Maintain detailed documentation and generate technical reports related to MRB actions, engineering changes, and repair solutions.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Manufacturing Engineering (or related field).
7+ years of experience in aerospace manufacturing, MRB engineering, and/or quality engineering roles.
Strong ability to read, interpret, and revise engineering drawings, including redlining for as-built configurations.
Experience working directly with production teams to troubleshoot and resolve manufacturing and assembly issues.
Hands-on experience with MRB processes, non-conformance dispositioning, and repair planning in an on-site production environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with modification engineering and implementing process improvements in manufacturing environments.
Proficiency in CATIA V5 for design, model review, and drawing modifications.
Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and hands-on troubleshooting skills.
Excellent cross-functional leadership, collaboration, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently, lead projects, and support production teams in real time.
MRB Quality Engineer experience.
Knowledge of FAA regulations, Boeing SRM, and structural repair procedures.
Compensation:
We provide a competitive pay and benefits package. This position is offering a salary rate of $110,000 to $160,000 however, Belcan considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to education, experience, geographic location, and discipline.
