T and T Consulting Services IT Project Manager in San Antonio, Texas

Project Overview:

The U.S. Army Signal Regional Network Enterprise Center (NEC) requires Information Technology services to provide Command, Control, Communication, and Computer Information Technology (C4/IT) Enterprise Management Services. Fort Sam Houston is part of a Joint Base and C4/IT support is a key component affecting the readiness and sustainability of critical DoD and other tenant activities across the installation. In addition, NEC Joint Base San Antonio (JBSA) will be undergoing changes due to regionalization restructuring. The Army and the Network Enterprise Technology Command (NETCOM) are in the process of transforming the DoD Information Network – Army (DODIN-A). Some of the local network functions are moving to the enterprise. The most recent service that moved to the enterprise was E-mail. The NEC supports some Major Army Commands and some Direct Reporting Units (DRU) such as the Army Medical Command, Army South, Installation Command and its subordinate commands, and Medical Education & Training Campus. The overall strength of these organizations along with the other tenants on the installation surpass a population of twenty-five thousand three hundred fifty (25,350) Military, Civilian, Contractor, and Non-Appropriated Funds (NAF) personnel.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Review IT programs for the unclassified and classified networks to assess overall compliance with IT plans and policies.

  • Review IT programs for the five (5) phases of project management: conception and initiation, planning, execution, performance / monitoring, and project closure.

  • Will manage and provide oversight on assigned Enterprise, short and long term IT projects and ensure adequate resources are assigned and aligned with core service delivery and FOC criteria satisfaction

  • The Project Coordinator shall provide a comprehensive project plan for all requirements/ projects to include costs and budgets, personnel, planning, quality control, direction, coordination, deliverable submissions, and reviews to ensure effective contract performance.

  • Manage the performance and customer satisfaction associated with the delivery of Enterprise engineering solutions and the execution, monitoring and completion of Statement of Work (SOW).

  • Provide Technical Solutions. Submit Technical Solution for requirements 30 working days after assignment or no more than 60 working days due to the complexity. COR will determine any changes in the schedule.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 5+ years’ experience supporting IT projects in a DoD environment

  • Knowledge and experience working with project management software to include Microsoft Project, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Visio.

  • Knowledge and experience working with different project management methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall.

Desired Skills & Qualifications:

  • Current experience on Army Networks (NIPR and SIPR)

Education/Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years’ working experience in project management.

Certifications (Required):

  • Project Management Professional (PMP)

  • CompTIA Security+ or other IAT Level II Certification
