Job Summary and Description

Responsible for the development and administration of a grant, including hiring, training,supervising and evaluating project staff, fiscal management, project development andmanagement, and liaison activities to target internal or external constituents. May also providedirect services to grant participants, which may include college and/or high school students, faculty, staff, and/or community members. This is a grant-funded position.

Qualifications

Minimum Education and Experience:

  • Bachelors degree or a combination of relevant experience, education and training that equates to the required degree
  • Two years of experience in grants management and in working with disadvantaged students who are minority and/or from low socioeconomic backgrounds.

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Masters degree.
  • Degree in education, counseling, sociology, social work or related field.
  • Three years of experience in grants management and in working with disadvantaged students who are minority and/or from low socioeconomic backgrounds.
  • Experience as a grant manager or grant director for federal grants in higher education.
  • Experience in direct oversight for multi- million dollar federal grants, including budgeting and reporting.

Licenses and Certifications:

  • Dependent on grant requirements.
